We honor any “IP-anonymization” settings available such that Google truncates IP addresses in certain regions. Advertising & Tracking Cookies: We utilize cookies and pixels from third-party advertising networks to enable remarketing and interest-based advertising. Specifically:
Google Ads / DoubleClick Cookie: Google (and its partners) use a cookie called “DSID” or “IDE” to help serve our ads on other websites. This cookie records that you visited our site and may show you an ad for our services on a Google search or on sites in Google’s advertising network. Google may also use this cookie to ensure that your ad preferences (like opting out of personalized ads) are respected. Our use of Google Ads cookies is in accordance with Google’s policies; we do not see personally identifying info through this – only that an anonymous user showed interest in our site. Meta (Facebook) Pixel: We have installed the Facebook Pixel on our site. c. Why We Use Cookies: In summary, we use cookies to remember your preferences, improve site performance, analyze usage, and market our services. Cookies allow us to provide a smoother experience (for example, by remembering form inputs or user settings) and ensure our marketing is relevant (so we don’t show ads to people who aren’t interested). We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal information like passwords or medical data. And we do not knowingly combine cookie data with personally identifiable information from other sources.

Browser Settings: You can configure your web browser to refuse some or all cookies, or to prompt you before accepting a cookie. Use your browser’s help menu or settings to find out how. For example, you can typically find cookie settings in the “Privacy” or “Security” section of browser settings. Note: If you disable all cookies, some parts of our website may not function correctly (for instance, videos may not load or preferences may not be saved). You can also delete cookies that have already been set. Please be aware that because each browser is different, you’ll need to adjust settings for each browser/device you use.
Google Analytics Opt-Out: Google provides an Opt-Out Browser Add-on that you can install to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your website visits. This is available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. By installing it, you can disable Google Analytics on all sites that use it (including ours).
Google Ads Preferences: If you want to opt-out of Google’s personalized advertising, you can adjust your ad settings at Google’s Ads Settings page (you need to be logged into your Google account): adssettings.google.com. This allows you to control interest-based ads. Google also honors the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out: you can visit the [NAI’s consumer opt-out page】to opt out of interest-based advertising from all NAI member companies (including Google). These opt-outs typically work by placing a cookie on your browser that tells advertisers not to use targeting cookies – so if you clear cookies, the opt-out is lost and you’ll need to opt-out again.
Facebook/Meta Opt-Out: To control the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram, log into your Facebook account and go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Ads (Ad Preferences). Here you can manage your preferences for “Ads based on data from partners” (which includes Pixel data). You can choose to disallow Facebook from using data about your browsing behavior on other sites for ad targeting. Additionally, you can use industry opt-out tools: the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) offers an opt-out at optout.aboutads.info which includes many ad networks (for web browsers), and for mobile devices you can use your device settings (“Limit Ad Tracking” on iOS or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android) to achieve a similar effect. For more information on Facebook’s use of cookies and how to opt out, see Facebook’s Cookie Policy and Help Center. (Note: As of now, Facebook does not provide a simple one-click “opt out of Pixel tracking” for users aside from the methods above or using browser extensions. If you use a tracker-blocking browser extension, it may also help block Facebook Pixel.)
Do Not Track Signals: “Do Not Track” (DNT) is a setting you can enable in some browsers to signal that you prefer not to be tracked across websites. However, there is currently no industry consensus on how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our website does not respond differently to DNT signals and will still deploy cookies as described. We recommend using the opt-out methods above for specific control.
Cookie Consent Tool: (If applicable) If our site displays a cookie consent banner or preferences tool when you first visit (particularly for visitors from certain regions), you can use that interface to customize which categories of cookies to accept (e.g., only essential cookies vs. all cookies). You can also revisit your choices by clicking a “Cookie Settings” link on our site (usually in the footer) if provided. This is primarily offered to comply with laws like the EU ePrivacy Directive/GDPR for European visitors, but we make it available for transparency. These measures include: – Encryption: Our website is secured via SSL/TLS. You’ll see “https” in our URL, indicating that data you send through forms is encrypted in transit. We also encrypt sensitive data at rest where applicable. – Access Controls: Personal data collected online is accessible only to those in our team who need it to perform their duties (for example, responding to your inquiry or scheduling an appointment). We use password-protected systems and require unique user logins for staff. Our website hosting provider also maintains security at the server level. While no system is 100% foolproof, we actively monitor for vulnerabilities and attacks, and we update our software and protocols regularly. – Payment Info: (Note: Our website currently does not collect payment information. If that changes – for instance, if we add online bill payments – we will ensure those transactions are handled over secure, compliant channels and that we do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.)
Retention Period: We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. For example: – If you submit a contact form inquiry but do not become a patient, we may retain that inquiry and our response for a period (e.g., 1 year) for our records and to follow up, then securely delete it. – If you become a patient, your information (including what you provided online) becomes part of your patient record. Dental records are retained for a minimum period as required by California law and our professional obligations – typically at least 6 years, or longer for adult patients, and for minors, several years after they reach adulthood. We securely store and eventually dispose of records in accordance with HIPAA and state regulations. – Analytics data in Google Analytics is retained for 26 months (default) or a similar standard period, after which it is deleted automatically (and it’s aggregate data). – Cookie data: Cookies each have their own expiration; for instance, Google Analytics cookies often last 2 years unless cleared. Advertising cookies may last up to 90 days or as set by provider. You can clear them any time as noted. – If there’s a legal claim or audit, relevant data may be kept until that issue is resolved, even if it surpasses normal retention.
When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or aggregate it so it can no longer be associated with an individual. We take care to dispose of records containing personal data (both electronic and paper) in a secure manner (shredding, secure deletion, etc.).
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain legal rights with respect to your personal information. Le Dental Studio is based in California, and we particularly recognize the privacy rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

But we will honor deletion requests for data we are not obligated to retain.
Right to Correct: (CPRA adds a right to correction) If you find that personal information we maintain about you is inaccurate, you can request that we correct it. We will take into account the nature of the information and the purposes of processing and work to correct any confirmed inaccuracies.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the CCPA’s definition of “sell” and “share” could include some forms of targeted advertising or data sharing for analytics. If you believe our use of cookies or third-party advertising constitutes a “sale” or “sharing” of personal info under CCPA, you have the right to direct us to stop that. Practically, this can be exercised by opt-out requests or by using our cookie management tools to disable advertising cookies (as described above in the Cookie Policy). We reiterate that any sharing we do is for the limited purposes in this policy and not for direct revenue, but we respect your choice to opt out. California residents can also use the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal (if supported by their browser) to signal an opt-out of sale/sharing, and we will honor it if detectable.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect or process “sensitive personal information” as defined by CPRA (like precise geolocation, Social Security number, financial info, etc.) through our website from consumers, except basic contact info which is not considered sensitive under CPRA, or health information which is usually governed by HIPAA rather than CCPA. If that changes, California users would have the right to limit our use of sensitive information to only what is necessary.
Right of Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means we won’t deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a lesser quality of service because you exercised your rights. (For clarity, if you opt out of sale/sharing, you may still see advertising, but it will be generic rather than tailored from tracking – this is not discrimination, but a consequence of the choice you made.)
To make a California Privacy Rights Request, you (or an authorized agent acting on your behalf) can contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below. Please specify which right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to verify your identity. We will likely need you to provide your name, contact information, and perhaps confirm your relationship with us (e.g., whether you are a patient or had an inquiry) so we can locate records. For a request for specific pieces of information or deletion, we may require a signed declaration confirming your identity, due to the sensitivity of such data.
Verification: For your protection, we will verify your identity before fulfilling a request (to ensure the person making the request is actually the consumer or their authorized agent). This might involve responding from the email we have on file, matching information you provide with our records, or other reasonable methods. If you have an authorized agent, we may require proof of written permission or power of attorney, and we may still verify directly with you that you made the request.
Response Timing: We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 days and aim to substantively respond within 45 days, as required by CCPA. If we need more time (up to an additional 45 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension in writing. We will deliver our response via your chosen contact method (normally email or postal mail). Any disclosures we provide will cover the 12-month period preceding the receipt of your request, or explain if any exception applies.
Note for Non-California Users: Our practice primarily serves California residents, but if you are a user from another state or country, you may have similar rights under your jurisdiction’s laws (e.g., GDPR in Europe provides access, deletion, etc., and some U.S. states have new privacy laws). You can certainly contact us with privacy requests, and we will do our best to honor them in line with applicable laws and our capabilities.
